Repentance Is a Return

About a 3 minute pause

THE FAMILIAR VIEW

Repentance means feeling terrible enough to prove that we are sorry.

ROTATE THE PRISM

Real repentance tells the truth about harm. But shame is not the destination.

In the prodigal story, the son turns when he comes to himself. He sees differently, and that new sight helps him walk in a new direction.

Repentance may be less about becoming worthless and more about remembering the way home.

SIT WITH THIS

Where has guilt helped me see clearly?

Where has shame only made me hide?

When he came to his senses… ‘I will set out and go back to my father.’
Luke 15:17–18

CARRY THIS TODAY

Name what happened without making it your whole identity. Then take one step toward repair.

The truth does not only show us where we went wrong. It shows us the way home.
