Salvation can hold that hope and still reach into the life we are living now.
Shame, fear, false identity, and isolation can keep a person trapped long before death. Jesus repeatedly moved people out of those prisons.
Maybe being saved includes becoming free enough to receive love, tell the truth, belong, and live as the person fear kept hidden.
