The Commandments Show What Love Protects

About a 3 minute pause

THE FAMILIAR VIEW

God’s commands are tests we must pass to earn acceptance.

ROTATE THE PRISM

Jesus gathered the law into love of God and love of neighbor.

From that angle, the commandments protect life, trust, truth, rest, dignity, and faithfulness. They show us what love refuses to destroy.

Obedience then becomes a response to love—not a payment for it.

SIT WITH THIS

What relationship is a commandment trying to protect?

Where have I obeyed outwardly while fear still ruled inside me?

Love the Lord your God… and love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 22:37–40

CARRY THIS TODAY

When a boundary appears today, ask what form of love it is protecting.

The command may not be testing our worth. It may be protecting what love values.
