Prayer Also Changes the One Who Prays

About a 3 minute pause

THE FAMILIAR VIEW

Prayer is mainly asking God to change what is happening around us.

ROTATE THE PRISM

There is nothing wrong with asking. Pain should be allowed to speak honestly.

But sometimes the situation does not change right away. Instead, prayer gives us courage, wisdom, patience, or truth we did not have when we entered.

We may come asking God to move the mountain and leave able to take the next step through it.

SIT WITH THIS

How has prayer changed me when circumstances did not?

What quality of God may be asking to become visible through me while I wait?

Yet not as I will, but as you will.
Matthew 26:39

CARRY THIS TODAY

Bring your request honestly, then remain long enough to notice what love is forming in you.

Prayer may change the moment—and the person who walks back into it.
